I left the little bit at the end of George Raft calling Hoagy's character's name, because its just not everyday you find a character named Celestial. Enjoy!

Pass Me By by Digby Wolfe - Father Goose Opening Credits
i've never seen this movie. it's very enjoyable.
This is the government that the democrats worship
By far the best scene on film that I have ever witnessed. Stewart nailed this monologue; I don’t know where he drew the intensity from, but it came from deep down in his soul, down to the faltering voice. A defense of “the little people.”
Please, if you have the one with Silky Thompson can you unhide it, I can’t find it anywhere and I am dying to see it again!!
I'm 58 years old. My top 3 movies ever. The Godfather. The Godfather 2. And, It's A Wonderful Life. My wife and I watch this between Christmas and New Years day every year.
Moonlight in Vermont, Autumn in New York - Jo Stafford
A "discontented, lazy rabble".... I think I work with a few of those.
George is a truly heroic person. George charecter is unmatched truly amazing. He helped people get out of the slums. So what's wrong with that.
1:35 -1:40 "I know very well what you're talking about! You're talking about something you can't get your fingers on and it's galling ya!" What I love most about George's rant here is that he pointed out the only reason Potter even wants the bank is because he doesn't have it already. One of the pettiest reasons anyone can have for wanting something especially of this size is because it doesn't belong to him.
Wonderful
such a phenom recording
Excellent stuff.
now when mr satan/potter said did yu put any REAL PRESSURE to do what things-courtney fuller
What a beautiful song!
Every verse is a perfect Haiku. Nothing rhymes. Where does the beauty and artistic devotion come from. She was truly GI Joe. Men died in her arms.
A pure song feels me innovating the solution how I draw these pictures very wonderful! Thanks to Jo Stafford's melodic song! 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
How could their tap dance routine at the beginning not bring a smile to your face?
Criminal that this version isn't on Spotify.
i love this woman but i think shes just a hair flat in a few places and its all i can think about.
Bing🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Paved the way for all singers today he is a legend in music and song 📀📀📀📀📀📀📀📀📀
I believe this song written in 1915 is supposed to be the first jazz song.
Aw....... Very pure and beautiful!
Eddie Miller plays the tenor solo. Probably Matty Matlock on clarinet.
This is just totally enjoyable. Maximum Kool!
Boffo work!!!
So beautiful it hurts.
"Do you know how long it takes a working man to save $5,000?" It's 2024. Even without adjusting for inflation, this is still sadly true.
The only pop song with unryhming haiku lyrics....brilliant genius stuff
Awesome!
This was one of my dad's favorite songs. He's no longer here but because he had me play this, I will bring it up on Google, listen and think of him.
Beautiful music with visual words. This is my favorite version, and Frankie's version not bad. Jo, you sing like an angel.
As Norma Desmond was wont to say, "WE HAD VOICES THEN."
me to 80. this man is a one-off like Jimmy Deranti
George Bailey was a true Republican.
LOL.
@@vaylonkenadell What's so funny ass-hole?
George Bailey was a true Republican.
Bing and Mrs Reagan . Btw - Is there any movie that the Gipper sang in ? That would be something to see !
I lost over 16 years of my life because of CPS. It's gone. And I'm going to die in the street.
This was what Republicans used to be. Now, they are Potters.
Nts 1:26
This is called the era of Quality......and yes, everything was better especially singing and dancing.
Прекрасное видео! Большое спасибо!
Beautiful
At 1:19 there's about 12 seconds of Bari aax that just wails. The amalgamation of intertwined rhythms and syncopated poly rhythms is delightful and there is NO better version of the Dark Town Strutters Ball strange Hoagie Carmichael .
Easy to see why Bob Hope kidded Doris- in a good-natured way- about her rear end. She shows it off here, and repeatedly throughout her career, even in television much later. Not that I'm complaining!
SING ON, FOREVER, JO STAFFORD, WITH PAUL WESTON & HIS ORCHESTRA ! FOLKS, THIS IS M,USIC. -----MJL, 77 Y/O
Didn’t know they had colorised this movie it’s originally in black and white. Here comes the groom.❤

"Mr. Potter why you're a lil bitch, you're a lil bitch and I bet you like to suck it too." ~ George Bailey
Wunderbar, eine großartige Sängerin ❤

Ahhhhh yes, this the music I grew up with, the Great Jo Stafford, & Paul Weston & his orchestra. Real music, the likes of which, we'll never hear again. RIP, Paul & Jo Weston. ----MJL, 77 y/o
